So Long to Steve Irwin, The Famed Crocodile Hunter
So Long to Steve Irwin, The Famed Crocodile Hunter
I'm sure you've all heard the news by now, that famed Australian croc hunter, Steve Irwin was killed while filming a show about dangerous creatures day before yesterday. He was swimming directly above a bull Stingray, about 220 lbs., with his cameraman swimming backwards just ahead of them, when the stingray spooked and rammed it's poisenous tail barb into Steve's chest and into his heart. Steve pulled the barb out before losing consciousness. He was pronounced dead by the physicians on the rescue helicopter his crew called.
I became familiar with Steve Irwin because my boys loved The Wiggles, from Australia, and they had Steve on from time to time. He was crazy, wild and just plain loved animals. He also loved his American wife and two children he left behind. I believe he will be greatly missed not only by Australians, but millions around the world.

He made wildlife fun not only for kids but for us BIG KIDS as well.
I love his Australian Zoo.
My heart goes out to his wife Terri, and his two kids, Bindi Sus and Bob, at their loss.
But its nice to know he died doing what he loves (I hope they still show the new series. He was making it for the world to see.)
I know his wife had the same passion for wildlife as Steve did, and I ask her to take over for Steve, show us KIDS the things Steve never got to show us, and keep making "Australian Zoo"
Steve you will be missed, but remember one thing,
WILDLIFE IS FUN AGAIN"

He's a Bot Jim, But not as we know It.
i agree with LTfource i think he was to cocky for his own good, holding his baby over a crok was one of the most stupidest things you could do, any animal is unpredictable as he found out on his last day alive, i belive he did love animals but i never wached him as he allways saying if im not careful this snake could kill me or this crock could take my arm off, just so happend that he wasnt careful with a stingray.
just imagine if that unpredictale side of a crok came into play when he held his baby over it then we would be a nother member of his family down.

I remember watching him when I was a kid. I feel bad for that guy. He was a good man. He was real, unlike alot of the 'animal people' they have now.

Steve died because that animal who killed him was most peaceful animals in the sea (I've heard it on news) and Steve didn't thought he could sting like that, because those rays only sting when they feal real danger. I can't imagine how Irwin was felling that moment when ray stung him right into his heart. When someone say that you're going to die in 1 year it's a tragedy, but how you're supposed to fell when you know you're going to die in few minutes...? But when I think of Steve's life more, I think his life was like 10 of normal peoples' lifes. So if he's looking to world from somewhere above I think he's happy about his life
P.S.: sorry for terrible gramatics, I wasn't sure how to write those last sentences

Lithuanians for Georgia!
Yes it is sad, and although I always found him a bit annoying and I do think that it was unfourtunatley inevitable in his high danger career, I do feel for his wife and kids, (in some ways I agree he may have put them in more danger than he should) and yes the wildlife channel will be a lot less entertaining...

He died doing what he loved. I hope he gets to wrestle massive alligators in Heaven.
We'll miss you Steve Irwin. Have fun with the animals in Heaven.

More atrocities are committed in the name of that which is holy and righteous than that which is wicked and evil

I am sorry to hear that your friend and coach has died allen5924. I can't imagine what you have gone through.
I don't know where you found your information on Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, but being a fan of LP, I researched it just now on wikipedia(http://www.wikipedia.org) and he is still alive.
I am sorry to see Steve Irwin die. I always enjoy his shows, he makes learning about animals fun. Its a terrible thing to see such a great man leave this world.

Think outside the box.
To go on an adventure, one must discard the comforts and safety of the known and trusted.
