there are severl topics in the forum for help with conversion, and in the reality factory manual too, i cant give you exact steps my self to gmax as i have never used it but the main thing you got to do is to get it to reality factory format, the required formats that are needed can bee seen in the reality factory model converter called actor studio this can be found where you installed reality factory on your computer, in this folder there is another named tools.
within the tools folder there is a programe called actorstudio, if this programe can import it then it will export it to realty factorys native file format, now a small, cheap programe called milkshape will export and import many different formats and is also a very good modeling prgrame itself, this can export to the required format and i belive its now $25 but well worth it in my opinion, i use it all the while but saying that there are many other ways of getting your models into realty factory
