Bump Mapping on 3D models? [SOLVED]

Post by psYco »

Does anyone know where i can find some good free light mapping and bump mapping applications compatible with RF that i can just put my textures into it and a bump map/light map will come out? I want to use these textures both on actors and on the level textures.

Thanks,

bump mapping doesnt work that way. you cant just put in a texture and a bumpmap will come out. wish it did though...

Well I believe you can take your texture into photoshop and convert it to black and white, then maybe darken some of the areas you want to stick out a bit more. When the area is dark it will be bumped out, and white, or lighter takes it in. I think I posted somewere around here a bumpmap tutorial I found.
