i just need help getting a new model in to the game an get it to work help.
also what type of model file do i need?

The model you have ... is it a .act file ... a 3ds file or some other file format

if you give this information to the forum we might be able to help you

Allright, just to make this clear. Your model has to be in format .max, .nfo or .bdy and the animations in .max, .key or .mot. Then you can use the AStudio program to compile the model into a .act file which then can be used within RF.

then after that what does it put it in the game already or do i have to save it some were?
also how do i get ride of the other actors and is this the same for custom weapons to?

You must have the actors in media/actors directory or in one of its subdirectories. You can get rid of other actors simply by deleting them from the folder. And the same goes for all actors, be it a weapon, enemy or a piece of furniture.

thanks! but for weapons i just use the the same thing as i did to create actors with AStudio?

one more qusetion. WHAT THE HELL IS ASTUDIO! i cant find it all i have is actor veiwer or are they the same thing?GOD!

Look in the tools folder of your RF installation. :roll:

Hi panitball,

The easiest way i found to get access to all the r.f tools is to do the following.

1.goto the tools folder of r.f .. in there you should see an .. icon of a black arrow pointing upwards ..
with RFTraybar written underneath it.

2.double click the icon and then look at your traybar in the bottom of your pc screen ..
you should see the icon appear there.

3.right click on it and go up to were it says actor tools ... you should then see Astudio ..plus other features of
reality factory tools.

also, for those of us who ain't good at character modeling , on the rf filefront pages are some great( by any standards) models by animatrix called "universal" packs.Get 'em.
