Texture question

:oops: Ive been away from level desighn for a while and ive forgoten how to apply a texture to a brush in rfeditpro :oops: i know how to select one face at a time and can apply a texture to an entire box but not to just a face. :oops:

I know that but if i dubble click a texture when i am selectig one face then it doesnt apply it

In a skydome, whats the heightmap do?And does the texture on the dome move ,if so then would it be possible to have the texture slowly move from night to day?

@Zany: In the skydome the height map defines the bumpiness of the ground (the terrain) that the skydome generates :)

clicking the refresh button will show you the texture you selected. updating the face :)

So the skydome creates a plane and puts height on it?the manual has a picture with your level above the plain[/img]

well the idea is to build your level above teh generated terrain plain (which uses the highetmap for relief) and below the sky, thus putting it within the skydome :)

Can you use the generated plain as part of you r level tho, and have the character walk on it?

yeah that would be a good idea but i dont think that it does that, there may be a way to get it to happen, but I think its ment to be just like the skydome, just for show... Eg looking into the distance and seeing mountains...
