just saw this announced at the polycount website.

i haven't downloaded this yet, but those of you who want to get into maya nows your chance, unsure if it can be used with RF (unsure of how it exports or what limitations the educational version supports)

hopefully good enough

however this is what the industry is using so if your like me and have aspirations of being a 3d Modeler, level designer ect.
this is the program you HAVE to learn.

won't export to a format that can be read by anything, only maya ple.But as he said, get it if your serious about 3d modeling and want to make a career out of it.

devry university now has an online game programmers course....full college credited course.http://www.devry.edu/programs/game_and_ ... career.jsp and i'm gonna be taking it, since it is devry, which is better recognised than univ of phoenix is.....and i have no time to go to a campus and stay there for 2 years or so.

remember : a littlew advice i recieved from a guy who now has a job doing this stuff:keep every thing you do.every little vertice you put in a 3d program....screen shot EVERYTHING, and then keep the models/levels.If you've made a game with rm2k, keep it as well.This is going to help you in the future when you go to big companies.Or, even when you try to go get financing for your own game.
