I believe if we want to make decent normal maps in sculpting tools, it is necessary to compile a list of sculpting templates for myself and others to use.
By the way, I know what's needed to get SharpConstruct ot work. It's great, but I need more brushes, especially ones for character features.
In order to use the current Release Candidate of SharpConstruct for Windows, it is necessary to install
the GTK+ and GTKMM files the exact way I say to, or else the installer for SharpConstruct will not work.
First, install the GTK+ 2.8 file. This is to deceive the SharpConstruct install file into completing the install process.
If you try to install any later version first, it will give an error message.
Second, you install the SharpConstruct file. If you do get an error message, install the GTKMM 2.10.7 file included,
clicking "no" when it asks to download the GTK+ 2.10 file. Save that for last. Then try again. If it fails, contact me
by my e-mail address.
Install the GTKMM 2.10.7 file. It's needed, trust me on this.
Lastly, put in the GTK+ 2.10 file. Run the install program.
Run SharpConstruct. It should pop up with a window containing a sphere and some tools!
Have fun, and if you have any problems, contact me at
