RF is the best

Post by gamerX »

I downloaded this engine and it isnt at rf level.
I THINK THAT RF IS THE BEST engine that i ever used, i tried 3d game studio, silentwall, fps creator, dim33...
But RF rules...
So, new rf users, be pantient, and here with this forum, where everyone helps u, u can learn a lot.
Dont give up.
Wait the moment when u will walk in your own game world made by rf. That is the best feel in this.

You sound like me gamerX; I too have tried some of those engines. I was most recently making my game in FPS Creator, but I got fed up with only being able to make it in the first person. Besides for a commercial engine, it's full of glitches and there is also a lot of idiots on their forums. I'm going to stick with Reality Factory this time though, as it seems to be really good.

The screens for this system look pretty good. I didn't get my dual boot up and running last night, liked I'd hoped to, but when I do, I'd like to give this a go. Thanks for posting this darkmaster.

Can you please be more specific? How much time did you spend with it? Did you read any of the documentation? In what ways does it not live up to RF?

Don't start snapping right away. You must remember you are posting in the middle of one game system forum about another game system. You'd better expect some resistance. It's only natural. People become territorial and protective about these things. If you were an awakening engine user, who'd become attached and learned it's good sides and bad, fought hard to do the things you've done, then had a fellow user start posting about this other great engine, you may not be so quick to jump at it. Not that the other engine isn't good, it's just human nature.

Don't make me come in that corner, young man!! I am a lecturer. Always have been, always will be. Can't help it, it's my nature. I hate the human race but I love people, and want to see them get along. Make sense? Heck no, but I just can't stop talkin'.

You wrote a lecture on game design? Very cool. Did you write it for class? Was it graded? How did you do? Can we see it? (See how I skillfully lead up to that last one.) I'm quite serious. I'd love to read it.
