From what I can tell, to make prefabs you have to export your model to a 3DT and then use it in RFEdit.
Is there any way to directly import different 3d model formats into RFedit?
Can you import 3d models (3ds, obj, etc) as prefabs?

OK, I'm still having some trouble. I thought I had it figured out.
I'm using milkshape3d, which can export to Genedit 3DT files. Unfortunately, when I try to import them into RFEdit, it gives me an error saying it can't find genedit.txl, which is linked to the 3DT I'm trying to load. Is there any way to change what texture pack it uses?

yea, it dont work, to get your models into RF you need to convert them to genesis .bdy file, from there its a simple conversion using the tools that come with RF
use the tool called Astudio to convert your .bdy to .act, once you have done this, put the new .act file into your media/actors folder in the RF directory, start RFedit pro, insert a static mesh entity, then put your file in the file name remembering to put.act at the end and you have it.
if you strugle and need more help search the forums or help documents there is a LOT of information on this topic.
