Favorite driving game
What is your favorite driving game?
mine is NFS Most Wanted. The sequel (carbon) was nice, but didn't have as much racing. In Most Wanted, there were more than just four bosses and the cops were much more than just a secondary part. Here's some screenshots from the game:
the cops at heat two were so dumb, I evaded the pursuit in Reverse

I blew up the pic, thus lowering the image quality. It's only from 2004. The game also has optional graphic levels. It has 4 different screen resolutions + four detail levels for each resolution. mine is at resolution 800x600 and the lower graphic levels. It runs slightly better that way. But it does have adjustment levels if you want better graphics.

This is an easy one. Almost any road rash ever made. The sega genesis ones were awesome, and I also enjoyed it for the nintendo 64. I got to ride my motorcycle, wipe out the opposition with my lead pipe, and try to ditch the cops all at the same time. Never has there been a better racing game. The soundtrack was great for the nintendo 64 one too. What stands out the most is Mean Machine by Sugar Ray.
Has the series been discontinued? I don't hear things about a Road Rash 2007 or anything...

AAh, the good old days. Sitting for hours in front of my Uncle's Sega. OMG, now the soundtrack of the genesis is stuck in my head.

I haven't been much into driving games until recently. My favourites are Test Drive Unlimited and Flatout (2). I like TDU because it's so much else than just racing, so many different types of missions and lots of cars. Gotta love it. In Flatout 1 and 2 I like the arcade feeling. Nothing beats racing down an alley and crashing your opponent to a nearby gas station.
Great to see you again, Steven8. I thought we'd never see you again.

Pain is only psychological.
Hey Juutis!! I didn't know if you'd ever see me again either. Life's been very busy and I haven't been doing much except email on the web. Now that winter is just around the corner and school is back in session, I might be able to slow down enough to get back into things.
Yep, that was the thread I was talking about. I'd PM'd it to LTForce. I just don't know what gets into Dan some times. Violent mood swings.

Well, In Most Wanted, you do that too. The whole game is about moving up this thing called the "Blacklist" There are boss racers that set up milestones you have to beat before you can race them to try and move up the blacklist. There are races that range from sprint, to drag, to circuit, and many more. There are also cop chases and a minimum bounty needed for certain milestones. There are a lot of cars, and a challenge series where you are given an objective to complete, like "evade the pursuit in under 2 minutes to win the challenge" or "evade two police helicopters" or there are just races that you must complete.Juutis wrote: I like TDU because it's so much else than just racing, so many different types of missions and lots of cars.
