ardentcrest read the first post again  the reason this post was created was for the update of this engine, its not reality factory related so i do belive that this is the best area for posting this, and for as long as i can remember the updates for this engine have been here, all in one post.
possibly an extention to the title but as it is i belive its fine.

WOWOWOWOW!

Eye Candy FTW!

you have made leaps and bounds on this vex, i'm glad your still progressing on this too, and i'm also glad your keeping us updated on this as well, that is some real nice visuals!

how are the frames holding up?

also as mentioned by others are you gonna release this publicly and are you gonna charge, if your not gonna release or are gonna charge for it i would not blame you, you have put alot of hard work into this for quite a few years now.

looks nice, keep us posted on your progress!!!!

yeah i have been thinking about that as well. i'm definitly not gonna release it as open source - i have great respect for people spending months of hard work on their software and then gving it away for free, but i'm not one of those. i'm going to use this engine in my wunderwerk game creation system that i've been working on until i decided that i need a better engine first; i'll pick up work on that again as soon as the engine is done. the editor is half-done and the website's done too.

graphics are almost done, next comes ode implementation and openal for sound. that should be feasible till fall.

framerates are.. ok. with high resolution shadow maps/frame buffers, soft shadows and all effects turned up i still get ~55fps on 1024x768 on my gf7. with a more reasonable setup the framerates are always >100. there is still a lot of room for improvement, of course.
