How about a game created by the WHOLE of the RF community?

Post by vrageprogrammer »

Just an Idea but....Can the whole of the RF community work on a new game project?
i mean 100 modelers, 100 programmers, 100 audio and music designers , 100 level designers, etc!
Also a few people to promote the game(Websites, etc!)

pretty close, I mean we would have something more like this:
50 modelers 100 level designers 20 music/sound designers 30-40 programmers, and 300-400 spammers

That's right only a small portion of the RF community actively posts or takes part in posting.
Anyway, how do you like the idea of a game created by RF?....Seriously?

its kind of a bad idea, kind of a good idea. Good- the games would get done accurately and quickly
Bad- there would be fights about what to do. We would have to decide whose game we would do first, second, ect. By the time everyones game is done it would be about the same amount of time as they normally would.

This has come up multiple times over the years I have been here and some have started on it... However, all the previous attempts have failed. It is just too much for people to try and design a game over the internet. It's always a nice thought but its not practical and has never gotten very far.

Sorry for being a "downer" but I'm just being realistic.

you're not realistic, you're just skeptical. LOL, I kid. Anyway, When my team tried to work over the internet part of the team fell apart, so now We're just a bunch of friends that see each other and update daily.

I mean we create only ONE game. Not a big task and certainly possible with a little co-ordination!
