Imported map file texturing problem....need help

Post by RobRoy »

I've just started using torque constructor and bringing the geometry into RFEditPro as a map file. I'm having problems trying to scale or offset the textures, it won't let me change scale or offset, the box comes up saying put in an integer between certain numbers and when you do that the box still keeps coming up or it dosn't give you time to put a different number in before the box flashes up again. The maps come in to rf with huge scale numbers, sometimes I can manage to rescale and make the texture look right but most of the time I can't.

Use the up and down arrows next to the fields where you set the texture scales and offsets. I usually press enter continuosly to get rid of the message boxes and click the arrows with my mouse. It should take only a few seconds to make the boxes go away. You should also select all brushes and do it to every face at the same time. It saves a lot of time.
Pain is only psychological.

Thanks for the help, I've found sometimes it works, other times you just can't get out of the box coming on screen, what I did find was if you can't clear a scale number by removing it (because box pops up) use the up/down arrows to remove a few digits of the number (if you can manage that) and this allows you to remove the number completely......... I was wondering if there is anything you can do as you're building the geometry in torque constructor that would stop these big scale numbers appearing in RF.
