I made a room full of cubes and stairs like a mile high ( Well as far as I could stretch it) babe.act is predefined with jumping etc so that was easy
added flames entitie that worked and lit up the place so just had to adjust the hight of the stairs and cubes so she would just make the jump
to make some sort of a challenge
SO I am happy with my one room game for a beginer
but the frustration to get this far I guess it was worth it to learn how it works but some entites the bmp and act file fields are blank and its up to the user to add them.(Why dont they have these with a default actor file and bmps so they at least compile then the user can change it later?) I hope this makes sence? R/F version 71 is kinda like this and easier to use for me than the latest version I tried to add a tree I chose folage entite in the blank bmp field I added a_citytree.bmp ( and that excists in the media bmp folder ) the error I got was cant find a_citytree.bmpa_citytree.bmp?
In other words flame entitie and teleport entite I had no problem when compiling but as for the others it wont compile because of missing files
It is probably more complicated than file names and paths I am not sure
but most entites compile ok
and I do read the tutorials and docs and help but I think the differant versions of R/F and the differant included act files etc is a big issue in the outcome
