which engine

Post by firelord »

Im in the process of designing my second game and deciding which piece of software to use, i love the way reality factory works but have been looking at 2 other programs.
one being blender the other being beyond virtual.
i have been dabbled with programing since i was a lad and now need to decide on the program im going to use please help me decide.
im swaying towards reality factory with the new update to direct x9 coming soon
thanks firelord

You could try neoaxis but although it uses a better engine (uses Ogre engine) it is not as flexible as RF and you need to know c# for scripting etc. It is also VERY difficult to import actors with animations and get them to work. Anyway RF2 ( which will use Ogre engine) will knock spots off Neoaxis for ease of use when its completed I'm sure. Personally I'll stick with RF you just can't beat it for ease of use.
