RF Easy Menu Creator Project Thread
http://www.steven8.rfcommunity.0lx.net/ ... uttons.htm
Here is a little wink movie I made to show just how many things have to be mapped on a full menu. Forgive the image, but for some reason my htm file created by Wink will not run, so the is the actual swf, without the js file's enhancements. Fell free to right click and download the file. Maybe you can view it better from your machine.
LTForce, my code is in no shape to hand out, as I never comment anything. I also follow no programming standards. Still, do you program in vb.net?

Thanks. I haven't put in the code for dragging and dropping the buttons yet. That is next.ardentcrest wrote:Nice vid.
Cant wait to see one with the buttons been placed and moved.
Keep up the good work........
Now, here is how the menu.ini files will be created. The program will create a full ini file every time, with every possible menu in it, but boolean flags will be set based on which boxes you have checked on that first screen. The checked menus will be created in full with all the variables set, and the unchecked boxes will create those menu sections, minus the variables, with semicolons commenting out those lines.
I'll get a vid up of a menu button being placed and dragged soon. Hopefully tonight.

Not a great vid, as I'm getting used to Wink. I'm using the default screen capture on mouse click option, so it is not smooth action, but you'll get the idea.
Again, I can't get the htm file to work right, so here is a direct link:

Thanks to my RF Community Site, I was able to upload my wink movies and have them work properly. Click my links above to see them in their true form.
I put links on the front of my RF Roundup Page as well. I have totally neglected this little site, and my son's cub scout site as well. Just so wiped at the end of the day.

No, but I do program in C++.net and from what I've seen all .NET programming has the same layout. I would like to take a look anyway.steven8 wrote:http://www.steven8.rfcommunity.0lx.net/ ... uttons.htmStill, do you program in vb.net?

VB.Net? whats the difference between that and Visual Basic 2006?
also, My image: done in psp, enhanced it Image Zone. I can get a lot of other variations, Orange or blue shading, cropping, heat signature, a lot of image effects

Enjoy. Don't say I didn't warn you.
[edit]Hey, why weren't you all over it when I had to leave the project and posted the code way back when?? [/edit]

Refering to it as vb.NET merely distinguishes it from pre-.net VB. There have been a few versions of vb.net. 2002, 2003, 2005, 2008. Previous was Visual Basic for DOS, Visual Basic, etc. I first programmed with VB in VB 3. I've done some in 4 and 5, and a lot in 6. 6 is where I really 'got into it'. 6 was the last version before the .net framework.Agentarrow wrote:VB.Net? whats the difference between that and Visual Basic 2006?

Not there with the splash. I don't like the type styles. A little disjointed in the layout, and the background is too 'stock'. Keep posting, though. We'll get there.

Have at it, my friend. My time is extremely limited, so if you finish the project first then. . .all right!!!!LtForce wrote:I've looked through your code and I would like to ask for permission to reference it to VC++, because I would like to give it a go.
