Post by Agentarrow »

We took a placement test today in class to see what our top five best qualified jobs would be
1. Video Game developer
2. computer programmer
3. graphic artist
4. Web site designer
5.computer animator
So it looks like I'm right at home :) destined to be part of this great Video Game development community. :)

That's great! I remember taking those placement tests... I forget what mine said. Whatever it said doesn't matter though because I am a Computer Science major at college. I wanted to go for Game Design or Digital Arts but the job market for both are extremely small. It is tough to get into the game industry these days, and at least in my area digital artists aren't in demand. So I went with general computers. Of course I am still going to take all the electives I can that relate to game design and digital art because that is where my heart is. Working with computers will do just as well. I am alright with this as a hobby for now. I just need to finish one of my games to break into the industry .

yeah. That's my plan. I'm actually planning to break into the industry, then set up Agent Arrow Games Studio in this city. About time something started here :) There's not many big businesses here, only stores like wal-mart and target. the rest is small business. However Chrysler Financial has their headquarters only about 20 miles from here.

my placement tests said i should be a professional hitman...

ok they didn't say that, but my friends did.
man, you say there stores around were you live. its a 10 minuite drive to the nearest gas station, then a half hour to the nearest large town.
i don't imagine that i would even be here right now if there were actually things to do around here.

Wow! And those are all the courses for High School? You definitely have a good arrangement of classes. All are good for game design except for chemistry... I don't think a game designer will ever need that :P.

Also you have to remember I live in a CITY. So it's sad having a CITY and having the only big businesses be stores. City gas is outrageous too, it's like $3.50 a gallon and there's so many people, the gas stations look as if they're making a killing.

Oh how I wish ours was that cheap. €4.36 a gallon here and that is a lot cheaper than across the water in England. You guys just don't know your born.
