yeah actually, I was one of 15 students that got an invite and hope to be one of five that actually get in (from my district, there are a total of 600 students)

West Bloomfield Michigan. So It's a bit further out than any school I've ever been to, I'll have to get a car and a license so I can drive myself in the morning

I don't understand what the point of that school is. If it's a highschool and it's supposed to give you business experience I don't think it will matter much, since you'll be going on to college anyways. Seems like a lot of trouble, and I'm not sure what you gain out of it.

Well I'm an academic myself so maybe I don't understand the 'business' world, but I went to a regular highschool, a good college, and will be attending the Washington University in St. Louis Ph. D. program for Neuroscience this fall (a top 10 Neuro program). My experience has taught me that the only thing that matters is the final place you go to, and the work that you do there. Hell, most grad schools didn't even care much about the first half of my college, much less what I did in highschool or which highschool I went to. So what's the point of putting yourself through all this trouble? Be careful, you might burn out from doing too much unnessessary stuff Happened to me and I had to take a break for a while before resuming my academic career.

See, that's where you're wrong.
1) IA graduates have 3 degrees leaving high school, International Academy degree, Normal High School degree, and international baccaloriette.
2) IA graduates leave high school with 1.5 years of college credits
3) IA graduates get an average scholarship of $44,000 to the college of their choice
plus... My intelligence was not challenged at a normal high school, I got A's without doing any homework or studying
