I wasn't in the car at the time she was working (she is a social worker working for the health board). So it's just her and she is fine apart from the rib, bruises and shock trauma. She got away with that one very lightly because the car isn't even reckognisable as a car. It was a Masda 323 with airbags and she was wearing her seatbelt. The airbag and seatbelts did their job well and the passenger compartment stood up to the impact very well too. It could have been much much worse.

Wow, glad to hear.

Well, what do we learn from this, kids? Always wear your seatbelt! In one the the accidents I was involed with, I had the seatbelt on too. I had a minor neck injury but without a doubt, that if I did not had my seatbelt on, I was a lot worse off.

Those anoying things appear to really work! :P

I see a potential joke in there.

All joking aside, its good that your okay for the most part. If that happened to me i would also ask if my bike was fine. When its a none serious injury its easier to heal then to have to buy a new bike.
i dont. tell meh

Well i was thinking of the stitches are in my side as a sort of joke. Kinda like when you laugh really hard and you say "Ow my side" and based on that the stitches being left in them. And then i said all joking aside. I just thought it was interesting the way it was worded. Anyway it seems my humor is misplaced here with all the injury being sustained by everyone so im going to apologize for my insensitivity.
