Import from Blender
Import from Blender
ok, im looking for a good game engine to use so i thought i would try this one,
but my problem is i use blender and im not sure how to import my stuff from blender to RF since (i think) the only supported file types are max and nfo
is there anyone else here that uses blender and if so how do you do it?

get Milkshape3D (35Usd) http://chumbalum.swissquake.ch/ - It costs money, but its the best rf can support. exports to bdy and mot.
get Gmax (free) http://turbosquid.com/Gmax/ - its free, and with a plugin exports to nfo (and mot?)
And welcome to da forumz
Herp derp.

as DM said, dload milkshape3d, then, with a combination of blender(you will have to export to a format common to blender and ms3d, this is easy, coz ms3d imports a lot of formats),lithunwrap , ms3d, and Astudio, you can succesfully create and convert a model into .act!!!

blender is easy to learn, i quit using it because it's almost impossible to keep a good model low poly.bernie wrote:If you have milkshape you don't need blender. Blender is VERY dificult to learn and it's interface is diabolcal. It's worth the 25$ for milkshape just to not have to use blender and you need milkshape anyway to export the .bdy and .mot files(Unless you are rich and can afford $400 + for Max).
gmax is a nice alternative to 3ds max(it's free)

Re: Import from Blender
I also use blender too.
lol, what I do is convert to a .x file in blender then open it with gmax, then use the gmax thingy to export it
