Hi Hike1

I download these zip file's to my desktop unzip and run rmap02f.3dt
and it doesnt work ...guessing the files have to be in there right place to make it work

so what directorys do I copy all these files to in R/F
the randmaptweak and the images folders?

your screen shot looks great I want to get this working.....thanks

Not really, there's only 3 entities, if you can load it in WORLD EDITOR 2 like in the tutorial, I might be able to help you.

randmaptweak is just a tutorial, you never want this in your RF
directory

Randmaplite is a standalone program, goes in its own directory.

I dont have world editor all the links I tried were broken
is that what I need?

When I click on rmap02f.3dt I get this error

Windows cannot find c:\Documents and settings\satan\desktop\randmaptweak\ransmaptweak\rmap02f.3dt'. make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again

..it then opens up a greyed out version of rfeditPro

The Randmaplite gui works fine but when you go to file\open .....well there is no file open you cant browse any where to open any file ok I go to options there is a browse button wanting config paths to \sierra\half-life\...I browse to what I downloaded from the links above it finds nothing?

this is why I am frustrated Hike1 none of the tutorials work that I downloaded from your site ...when I click on a *.3dt file in a downloaded example it always says cant find this cant find that all the directory structure /ini file settings etc etc is set to some other directory that who ever made the tutorial had his pc set to

I know all your stuff must work it must be the way I have mine set up

what Am I doing wrong?

I have the latest R/F with the self installer and it goes to C:\RealityFactory

also with some tutorials(not from your site but others I have downloaded) you happily go through each step only to find your version doesnt have the actor file etc what the person who wrote the tutorial has and its all down hill from there

Dont take offence hike your site is awsome... I know its something I am doing wrong ...just need to know what? would appreciate any help from any one thanks.... any ideas
