3 questions about crouching

I have 3 questions about crouching:

1.Can the crouching process be made faster?It takes too long for the player to crouch(he crouches so slowly)
2.Is it possible to make the built in player crouch lower.
3.For that one I think that a script will be needed: is it possible with the built in player to crouch only when the crouch button is pressed(when crouching button is released,the player stands up),or I'll need to make a script detecting if the button is being pressed?

1 & 2 make a new crouch animation for your player.
3 You could with a scripted player

I don't want to jump to a scripted player yet,I don't have skills and I'll have to ask about everything almost.
So you are saying that the animation is making the player's crouching...making an animation is going to be hard for me,but I'll try.So from that I understand thet the first person view uses the 3d character to croach and jump...Thanks a lot for the help I'll think of something!
