New Screen
Re: New Screen
Zelda : Ocarina of Time also used background images, similar to the ones you showed (with some 3d effect) I don't kmow how it's done in WinWaker, but i could imagine that it's done similar to Shadow of the Collosus, where they used backgrounds that MELD with the environment to provide photo-realistic landscapes in the game!!!

Thanks, guys!!
I took an actual photo that pretty much matched what I wanted the land outside the opening to look like, then made a TGA file that excluded the sky, so you would see my skybox above it.

I got the logo uploaded!! Ripway is a good site, but they've redone the site, and it seems to limited how soon you can upload another image. You can do six at a time, but I didn't have this one ready yet when I did the first one. No biggie.

Re: New Screen
hey,how did you do the stone aths in the ground?Their edges are transparent somehow.Did you use wall decals for this?
Re: New Screen
Yep, it's a wall decal. I just made a black background, used freehand select with feathering, filled it with white for the alpha, then filled it with stone texture for the main bitmap.metal_head wrote:hey, how did you do the stone aths in the ground?Their edges are transparent somehow.Did you use wall decals for this?

Re: New Screen
Ehm, a wizard hat as a health bar? Isn't that a bit childish?

Re: New Screen
Whoa that looks cool! ... Just wondering... To increase your maximal health attribute, do you have to collect wizard hats?

Re: New Screen
Childish. Creative. I suppose the line could become blurred. No more childish, I'd say, than a game about wizards in the first place.LtForce wrote:Ehm, a wizard hat as a health bar? Isn't that a bit childish?
Thanks guys!

Original Health Bar, I like it I don't know about what the game will be like, but maybe it's a bit too green, unless there are alot of magical lightning effects, then it might be a good color. Keep on the Good Work!

It's not easy being green. Thanks, Matte!Matte wrote:Original Health Bar, I like it I don't know about what the game will be like, but maybe it's a bit too green, unless there are alot of magical lightning effects, then it might be a good color. Keep on the Good Work!

Re: New Screen
lol. That reminds me of when I used to play Harry Potter on my PC. Your health bar looked like a lightning bolt. And the gate looks better btw.
