Use the link in this post to get Truegene, a program for converting truespace cob files to act files:seagypsy12345 wrote:hey guys me again i have now learnt truespace and would like to use my builings and level geometry in rf i heard there is a way to do this stuff please enlighten me

Bernie, the COB conversion should be integrated into Equity also. I think you and Terry should AIM to replace Actor Studio with this.
Many Bothans died to bring you this signature....

Re: truespace how?
hey guys i have this truegene now and i cant find out how to save my model as a cob file maybe im being dumb but i cant see it on truespace 7.6 thanks in advanceok got that now i save it as 6.6 and 6 and it says unsupported chunk type ignored lots of times then when i load said map file its a bunch of nothingness or really streched i have not succeeded once to get my models into reality factory no matter which method i got one in as an actor but then i cant texture it in rfeditpro wht!!!
Re: truespace how?
It is not possible to texture an actor on rfeditpro. Actors need to be built and imported into rf as either SaticMesh, StaticEntityProxy, Pawn or Attribute. The best way to build your actor now is to use Equity v 4.2.7 or greater. You can build your actor directly from an ms3d file. Just go to Import -> Milkshape -> Milkshape ms3d and then rebuild the actor into your rf actors directory. Its as simple as that.
Re: truespace how?
Lithunwarap will convert .cob files to ms3d format so you can always go that route until we get the .cob format into Equity. It is planned but we have to finnish what we are doing first otherwise we might get sidetracked and end up in a mess. One job at a time.
