Re: Metal Force (new screens)
Dante,my game looks like doom or Unreal Tournament (it's Sci-Fi) and the screen you are looking at is a huge harbour, because it's a sci fi game I don't think adding rubbish or rocks will be a good descision..I actually don't know what will be best to add as details
Jay, actually I don't really want to use a script,I was talking about a flipbook entities ..I know it sounds terrible. The fog in Silent Hill Origins is pretty cool by the way,I played the game on my PSP and I want to make the fog like Silent Hill Origins.
http://img.game.co.uk/ml/3/3/1/7/331701ss1_502w.jpg here, take a look I think it can be made with Spouts, but they really slow down the framerate of the game...maybe I can try mking this with floating particles,I'm not sure what the result will be so I'll try it.I'm on a holiday right now and I'm in a Wi Fi spot with my laptop,so I'll try it as soon as I get home!
Here's a new screen from the game BTW (that's the second part of level 1) the corridor is dark, because there's no electricity there, and you'll have to find a card to activate a computer with it,whic will cause a generator to get out fromthe floor, and than you'll just have to activate the generator to get the electricity online, which will unlock a door also, than you'll just have to proceed through the door
oh,yeah! I really want to make the levels detailed like this screen: http://resurrection.bungie.org/fanimage ... oridor.jpg but the game will get really slow and I want a dynamic game.
Also as you can see from the picture,I'm using a weapon model from Zidane's game SkullCrack Massacre edition.I edited the model a little, but that's not enough.I'll change the knife model with a different one, keeping only the hand model and the animations.(also I'll edit the attacking animation)

Re: Metal Force (new screens)
creating a corridor like that one is so easy: you just have to make a basic cube template, which will be the corridor, two ramps in the lower corners of the inside cube, and some tubes and details on the walls... i dont think itll make ur game get really slow... it would be just 4 or 5 solid brushes per corridor
There never was a good war or a bad peace.

And for the fog, you could use images (either hud images or flipbook images) with alpha (transparencies) that keep changing, like an animation.

I know how to make this,Dante I've been working with RF for 9 months, but the problems is that too much detail will slow down the mgae for sure!creating a corridor like that one is so easy: you just have to make a basic cube template, which will be the corridor, two ramps in the lower corners of the inside cube, and some tubes and details on the walls... i dont think itll make ur game get really slow... it would be just 4 or 5 solid brushes per corridor
Danimita, the HUD idea sounds pretty cool, but the spout is the best looking one...however,it slows down the game a lot..maybe for a dynamic game I should just only leave the fog from enviroment setup..
Re: Metal Force (new screens)
I finnaly got to see the images in the .RAR file from your first post! I like the futuristic tommygun and it's amazing how you can see the earth from the airfreak. I hope you release a demo soon! Really one of the best games ever made by RF judging by the pictures.

Re: Metal Force (new screens)
Thanks,I decided not to upload pictures of my game here, because I don't want to take of the hosting memory or RF,so I'll just upload them to my site and tell you when I have a new one!
That's the link to my site's gallery
My site is in bulgarian, but you don't need to know bulgarian to view the gallery even the bulgarians

Well, when I uploaded the pic and took a look at it,I saw the same thing, but there's nothing, maybe it's just the texture,I took a look at the model and..it looks like that just on this pic,but it;s funny
Yeah, that's only for now though,I'll change it and I'll make it green, because the sniper's optics are green.Haha, you use the same zoom as me
