It's a little late for this since my Girlfriend and I broke up this morning (during class olympics, it was sad) but what is the best way to break up with a girl you really like while managing to stay friends?
any suggestions?

Smack the nice woman in the face and say "oops, sorry, I over reacted" and start crying. She'll see that you're super sensitive and like you even more. That way, you'll stay friends.

In all seriousness just tell her that you don't think being more than friends is working out and that you would like to system restore to a previously stable configuration. You can say anything and if she feels you betrayed her or something then she might not want to be friends anymore.

she was my Girlfriend, I wouldn't say exactly hot, but definitely the cutest girl I've ever known...
People now are saying we should still be together since we broke up because our friends weren't taking it so well...
