I'm still *new* here, but I've been able to get some models in to the .act format textured with no problems. I could draft something with pictures and everything if the more experienced doesn't trump me on it and want to do it. :)

PM me too, so I can make sure the tutorial will work for you. :)

You're using AStudio to make the actor and that doesn't support tga files for transparencies. Our new FREE program Equity 5 replaces AStudio, is easier to use and does a lot more. It now comes with a help file. The program is updated regularly and another will be out next week. You can build an actor without messing around with .bdy files. Equity will load an ms3d file and build an actor directly from that.

Bernie,

Thanks! As I said in the posts, I'm still newbie when it comes to RF in general. I never knew the program existed.

I'm going to download a copy and start working with it. Maybe write a tutorial too. :D

Curiosity, why isn't it included in the RF release in the tools directory?

An early version V4.2.1 was included in RF0.76 release but it is still in development and much has been done to it since then. Version 5.0.0 was the latest release a couple of weeks ago with a new interface. The next release hopefully will be Sunday week 19th Oct with ms3d export, grouping by texture and a few other refinements included.
