Walk and run would be enough.

I used a demo ik character doing a simple run and walk. As far as I can tell, the motion is not bvh.

For each cycle I created:
a ts76 .scn file which is the current default save scene format.
a ts66 .scn file which is the old TS66 scene format.
an object file .cob
a directx file .x


Anything else, please let me know.

Downloaded the cob files but they crash truegene so they are no good for our use.

They are a newer version of the format. Truespace has an SDK that is free. They also have the file format specifications for every file that Truespace supports.

cob files will have to wait now anyway, we are in the middle of a motion editor/creator and that is going to take a couple of months to complete. Then we are moving on to building skeletons and tying in of the mesh. The next obvious step is to build a mesh editor and a uv editor and we'll have our own modelling program.

V3RD3 did you triangulate the mesh before exporting to COB? That will cause a crash in Truegene as it can only work with meshes made of triangles.

I did not set anything specifically to triangulate the mesh. I will give it a shot and try Truegene before sending you any more files.

I triangulated runner and walker (copy attached).

On loading in Truegene, many messages regarding "unsupported chunk type" but show
19 mat, 20 bones, 24 ?? ( the listbox does not display the rest of the message)
G Biped
body created
actor file written

The zipped walker file is too large to upload .... 269 kb ... how best to send it to you?

Another thought to bring to mind is that instead of using the sdk it may be possible to generate the exports using the workspace side scripting language. The Caligari gamepak also had an exporter for Genesis 3D bdy and mot..... likely built with the 6.6 sdk. The gamepak is no longer available but many ts users have it.

I've esperimented a lot of modeling software to export meshes for RF, but I'm still looking for the right one. Everyone has something wrong...

In this case TrueGENE ask for a .cob file wich can be converted, but TrueSpace 7 seems not to esport this type of file
:( :(

Or, at least, I still didn't find how to do it, I hope...
