[INVALID] Messed up directory's in 0.76

Post by silviyius »

I have downloaded the lasted version of Reality Factory multiple times and have run into the same problem. On every computer I try its always the same thing. The default.txl file for rfeditpro doesn't show up. Also the RF factory launcher doesn't show any icons nor dose any of the links work. Even when you try to reset the directory's the problems still continues. I have even messed with the .ini files and still had no luck.

Make sure you don't have any spaces in the directory names. rf does not like spaces.

Actually it dose this with the install file and I have nothing to do with this. Like I said before i tried it on multiple computers and still get the same thing. One xp computer and two vista computers. I never even messed with the install files but installing them itself. I have downloaded this multiple time and now a I'm seriously considering going back to 0.75c.

Have you tried installing it directly to the "C" drive. I have it running on 3 different pc's win2k xp and vista no problems at all.

I have not. I'll try it but what i used at the start was the default install directory. Hope it works. Thanks!

Nope its defiantly something wrong in the source code. When i installed it directly on the C drive some icons showed up but the directory problem remained the same if not worse. Is there anyone else having this problem?

The fact that so many people have this running, with no problems, proves beyond doubt it is definately NOT the source code.

Strange because I edited the source myself and was able to fix it. Could it be a bad download?
