I know this is a noobish question but i am having problems with a decal i've made I can place it on the wall but the problem is it has a white boarder around it is there any way i can get rid of it
another problem is that when I shoot the decal it goes behind the decal
any help is appreciated.
Could you possibly post the image you are trying to use? I have a feeling it has something to do with not having the correct transparency.

If you haven't already I would recommend looking at the ebook. It kind of explains some of the alpha image stuff. I think around page 170(pdf page not the page number in the corner) it talks about decals.
Basiclly you need to take a copy of your current image and convert it to black and white. Take a look at some of the images that already have transparency working. As you'll see its in black and white. I can't remember which is which, But I think the area that is colored white on the image will show up. But the area colored black will be transparent. So you'll want to make sure the blood spot is white, then the rest of the image is black.

That would especially work since its 2 solid colors. I didn't think of that. Been too long since i've done most of this stuff.
