I have a guess... this is what i came up with:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/xgwmirefm ... r_V32b.rar

Unzip to the tools folder and try it. (It has to be in the tools folder!)

If it can't find an ini file it will just skip to try to load it and then create a new one when you save.
If it can't find the RFIniEditor.ini it will create a new one with defaults. For that reason, the RFIniEditor.ini is not anymore included in the package. If the RFIniEditorIni.ini somehow got corrupted, delete it, and start the exe again.

It should still be in the tools folder, then the defaults should work. Without a subdirectory.

Yay, it works now. It's pretty good so far, except that editing the realityfactory.ini file is exactly the same as using the tool that comes with RF.

Ok thanks. :)

But what's wrong with the editing of the Realityfactory.ini? Can that be made better somehow?

Well, it's not that theres something wrong with it, it just doesn't really provide any advantages than using the stock tool. You could always try changing the resolution or something.

I decided against the resolution changing because for that we already have the VideoSetup tool. Other than that, the next major step is editing of the Effect.ini and Explosion.ini. Those 2 will be easy.

Besides, isn't this tool for the developer, not the user? ;)

Its actually for me to switch between widescreen resolutions and standard resolutions for testing out GUI. I don't think many have this problem though

What's the point in supporting widescreen resolutions? The users won't be able to use those anyway, unless they modify the .ini file manually.
