Who is left here with us at RF?
Re: Who is left here with us at RF?
I think I remember you. That was a long time ago, right? Few years?
I surface every once in a while. School and numerous other side projects tend to keep me too busy to be active.
I've been using RF again lately, though. Might be able to package the first two levels of my Omnicrab project soon.

I'm also a lurker since I've been busy hunting in Monster Hunter freedom unite. Hopefully I'll have some time to start something productive soon.

Re: Who is left here with us at RF?
I lurk around here every once in a while. I regret to inform everyone that I have moved from RF to Unity and that's the real reason I haven't been around. Unity was released with a free indie license at the end of November last year and I have been playing around in it ever since. I wanted to advance my project and I needed an advanced engine that I could plug assets into to see how they will look and not worry about changing them later. This is exactly what Unity allows me to do instead of worrying about the compatibility gap with RF/RF2. If I didn't have to work for measurable progress with such tenacity, as my time is scarce, then I would have waited for RF2. However, since I need to try and get as much done as possible with what little time I have and not wait for future tech, I chose to go with Unity. I love RF and its a great learning tool. I probably wouldn't have been able to make sense of Unity without my roots using RF. I hope to still drop by every so often. My development schedule is still rather slow as time is sparse being a Junior in college. I enjoy this community too much to intentionally leave forever. This is one of the friendliest forums I have ever been apart of. I still can't wait to see the power of RF2 and what people are able to create with it. So, I will see all of you around so long as this forum stays alive. If anyone else is ever on the Unity forums, I'm there as well with my same screen name. Although their forums are mainly for "business". I can't say there are good off-topic threads and I won't be posting anything with my project until its almost complete.
Think outside the box.

The lurker virus has gotten me too... sometimes i don't check the forums for a few weeks... Often i just look at "new posts" but don't log in.

Over 3 years (has it been that long?) and just now I noticed the day and month of my birthday were switched. Whoops!

I've been working on limited time. I should have an opening soon. Maybe I do another release of what I have so far.

Re: Who is left here with us at RF?
I'm going to be visiting much more often now that my motivation to get something done is back up. Though I'll have to relearn some stuff I've forgotten while I learn something new (C#).
I have to say I'm really looking forward to RF2.
