I've been logged on for about a half hour, and so far my companions have been a spider and a bot. If I'm not mistaken, those are not real people.
I see that Gekido's gamecore has grown quite sizeable. At least the fee for real use is quite sizeable. Has anyone here used, or know anyone who has tried, Gekido's gamecore?

It is considered abandoned commercial /indie engine.Their forums look less alive than rf.
It was supposed to be easy but i did nt see games and demos made with it like you see in other engines like unity,Udk,Shiva and the rest.
I would prefer a good open source game engine instead ,if i could find one. Some indie engines give you a free or 100$ feature crippled version, possibly to make you think to buy the full pro version of the engine.
Many hours can pass until someone drops by,but i am used to it.

My current 'board mates' - Baidu 2.0 [Spider], Bing [Bot], Google [Bot], steven8, Yandex [Bot]
On another thought, what of Dan (Pickles) Valeo? Didn't he embark on some new game engine venture?
Is Mike still involved on a day to day basis?Veleran wrote:It is considered abandoned commercial /indie engine.Their forums look less alive than rf.

It's dead. The guy who bought the company decided to kill it off , instead of competing with Unity. I liked it. A lot. Best sky system EVER in the history of game editors. Awesome texturing system, too. Easier than anything else at importing a model. Was it buggy? Yes. The code for LOD and framerate needed improving.....and there were a few movement bugs, but i liked it better than Unity.

Sorry to hear that. Who was the guy that shut it down?Wraps wrote:It's dead. The guy who bought the company decided to kill it off , instead of competing with Unity. I liked it. A lot.
