act - game-specific files
the Act format is a 'game ready' 3d format that is loaded directly into the game.
3d packages like max etc would load the original game models in the .max format, and export 'temp' model files (in max's case they are .nfo, milkshape 3d exports .mot and .bdy files as temp files).
the temp files are compiled into a file game-ready act file using the actor studio tool that is included with RF.
