trouble texturing in max

trouble texturing in max

Hi everyone, I'm having a problem texturing my shark in max. the mid-body faces seem to have some property that i want the whole thing to have but i dont know what it is. its a poly model with only an edit mesh mod. the outer faces seem to think there wrapping around a corner? any input would be much appreciated

I know nothing about max, but it looks to me like the center part is whithin the 0 to 1 texture coordinate system and the rest are outside and have become skewed, or not created correctly. Check to make sure all the uv's are whithin the 0 to 1 texture coord. system and that they have been layed out correctly.

Coty is right, the texture is simply repeating. play around with the UV coordinates and see what you can do.

i kind of figured it out using a uv map modifier, but from now on Im doing my textureing in milkshape, its so much faster and easier. and since i cant import any of the maps to actstudio theres no point in wasting my time. thanks everyone for the input.
