hey Dave, Nice looking model,
any possiblity of a wire mesh so we can critique,
i dunno how green you are but i'll put up a list of what need to be done
things you need to do,
===============
*Add a texture,
*add normals/bumps (optional)
*rigg your model (put the bones in)?
*asign the vertex's to the bones
*animate or if using the default virgil skeleton import default animation
*export a .bdy (mesh)
*export relevant .mot's (animations)
*Create Actor!
Booya Done!
there is a lot of documentation about all tese steps in the Doc's
however if your still stuck post here an i'll help you out!

You texture right in Milkshape.
There are other tutorial links on the RF home page as well. Click on Home in the upper left corner of the forum and check out the links down the left hand side. resources - tons of 'em, online help, tutorials. Ton's of info!!
Post here when you get stuck and to show off your progress!!!

I don't know why I thought that was Milkshape. Time for a set of glasses, I'd say.
By all means, texture your model in the program you feel most comfortable. I love to model in anim8or, but hate to texture in it. Milkshape is 'okay' to model in, but I love to texture in it. anim8or is also free. I would suggest bringing your model into Milkshape to add joints, animation and to export a bdy and mot files for actor creation. Outside of using cob files and Truegene, Milkshape is the only other program I know of that is easy to use.

Oh darn. He's using Unwrap. It is not free, but Jean Louis, in his resources, provides us with the previous version, LithUnwrap, which was free:

I don't know how much it differs, but it would most likely be worth a look. I'm gonna check it out myself later.
