Ardentcrest, your server is not configured to send email properly. It's crashing with an SMTP error on signup. I was able to login, but I didn't get any signup confirmation. I was not able to join a room though. It keeps kicking me back to the login screen. I use Internet Explorer 7 with all the latest patches.
You guys ever hear of IRC?
It's much easier and free clients are available all over the place.
Trillian is one for starters. There are also many free plugins for Joomla (the content manager that this website uses) which enables a web client to be used.

thats the same thing that happend to me, me and jonas last year some time came up with the idea of irc but didnt get round to it, i also mentiond this to ardentcrest on one of his previous message boards he had made, not sure if he got the message i know darkmaster did as he said it would be a good idea but had no responce from ardentcrest.
irc is in my opinion probably a better solution as its wide spread and used by alot of people, we laso know its safe with no spam or gives information away, this hasnt been so clear on the message boards so far, and i agree it does seem easier and more stable, i have only ever used irc once but it was quick and easy and got the info i was after at the time.

yeah irc is really simple, and there's tons of programs for connecting to irc, and lots of different web based clients as well.

Happens to me too. But I have a weird one way sat system for broadband ie. broadband for download at 1mb, dialup for upload 28kb so I assumed that was my problem. I can only access the RF community music site on dialup so I presumed this would be the same.

I think IRC would be way better too. If anyone is interested, I'll be on channel #RealityFactory on the Quakenet network.

I'm all for anything new.
The chat room and the RFcommunity are just sever projects I'm working on, as I have yet to find find a free or paid web host I'm happy with. So I said I'll start my own. Take it from me it's not easy. One step up two steps back.
I'm all for IRC, if someone can post links for the software and where the room is, I'll be there. My rooms were started to get the ball rolling.

I'm using a software called mIRC. You can download it at
http://www.mirc.com. Of course, there are loads of other programs too.
There's pretty good instructions on how to get it running and how to join a channel on the mirc website.
http://mirc.com/install.html
The name of the channel is #RealityFactory and the server is Quakenet.

i dont think so, i tend to stay away from using email adress messengers with public comunity message boards mainly because i like to know who has my email address adn that no spam bots can get hold of it.

If you're using Firefox just download Chatzilla add-on. I'm using it
