True.

and a POW camp.

The Tower Of London was used during World War Two to hold several groups of German POWs.

Just after the UK declared war on 3 September 1939, the 41 crew members of the U-Boat U39, together with their captain Gerhard Glattes, were held in the Tower before being moved to the newly designated POW Collection Centre which was located at Cockfosters Camp, near Barnet.

After U 35 was sunk, the 5 officers and 38 crew that had been rescued were taken to the Tower of London, where they arrived on 3 December 1939. On 9 December 1939, the officers and their cook were moved to the POW camp at Grizedale Hall, which is located in the Lake District. The other crew members were moved during the period 9-13 December 1939 to the POW Camp 127, located at Oldham.

The officers and crew men were later moved to POW camps in Canada.

The most recent prisoner was Rudolf Hess was held here for 4 days during WW2.

well something you might want to do is the london eye, its the best place to get the view of london but i do belive its not the cheapest attraction.
though you cant go inside you can see buckingham palace where the royal family live, grand big place.
you could go see whats left of the millenium dome, a million pound project that used tax payers money and only lasted a couple of years.
houses of parliament where the countries leaders go and decide the stupid ruls as £1 a leter on petrol ($2 a leter!) it also houses the big ben bell, the clock itself is the worlds largest four-faced, chiming turret clock. (good old wiki :P)
10 downing street as i have mentiond before the priministers house.
alot of shops.

thats all i can think of for now.

im sure its buckingham palace that have the standing guards that cant move or anything (dont know what they called) go put a match between there fingers and light it :P they just got to stand there :D
