hell, i remember bad medicine.

also, the compatibility mode did nothing really.
not sure why.
i think its a graphics card problem. i'll try updating my drivers.

mbee wrote:felt almost as good getting RF back as getting over the gastro flu, you really don't know how TOUGH getting stuff into some other game engines really is...

SHOULD have some links to the games I made in RF up and running sometime soon (these will be free)...

Oldtimers will remember Bad Medicine and maybe NewRev7...

the vid driver did the trick...
you mean this?

@vrage here's the pertinent quote:
paradoxnj wrote:Make sure you have all the latest drivers for you laptop that are made for Vista. In addition, make sure you have all the latest patches for Vista. DirectX 10 is not the culprit here. DX10 is not used in Genesis therefore it cannot be the culprit. I'm betting that it's the video driver or the video card in your laptop.
O71c also works on the laptop so paradoxnj gets the award, smiley face, gold stars, whatever he likes for the answer...

@ fps: go to control panel, then system, then device manager, then display adapter, your video card, then click the driver tab and update from the net... that is all there is to it...

messed with FPSC (still have it loaded, uman is over there now)... messed with trying to do a conversion for Quake 3 (3375 files to redo seemed a bit steep)...

then after getting Q3 to work on Vista (my laptop) I decided to give RF a try again and WHOOPEE! works when you get the right drivers... so I may try to port over Motel 666 to RF (sort of like mixing Bad Medicine AND Rev7, ha, ha..)

of course there's my DAY job...

marty

ps. can't beat 70 fps in my test level in RF, no where near that with FPSC, they have a 33 fps cap I think...
