Internet explorer isn't bad.
Everything FF can do, Microsoft supports for IE.
I just like the logo, and like Sph!nx said, everything is easily accessable. Another thing I like about FF is that you can change the skins (questionable with IE)

Someone hasn't tried FF3.paradoxnj wrote:IE...I don't need Firefox chewing up all my memory.
Definitely Firefox for me. Easy, safe, and lean. Slightly ugly on Vista, but...

By the way, for those not using Firefox because it looks terrible on Vista, there is now an extension called Glasser which makes the window draw with a glass background just like IE. It looks very good:

Re: What type of internet browser do you use
You know what I hate at school? That they're forcing you to use microsoft products like windows, microsoft office etc. Damn them, what if I preffer using linux with open office?

@LTforce: i agree with you (but unfortunately my school is to cheap to put anything good on the computers, i.e. firefox, converters, ext.)
Re: What type of internet browser do you use
Where you work or go to school, it is their decision what you use, since they hold the purse strings. Where I work we have all Microsoft products, and that is no surprise. I am well aware that there are folks out there making products as fine or even better in the Linux world, but your school or business has to do what they believe is best in the big picture. When you are at home, then you can use what you wish.
Firefox is free, so cost couldn't be an issue with that. So many folks in the mainstream IT departments just stick to what they know is going to be compatible with the largest number of users, so they don't have to face as many issues down the line. I only use Firefox, but I've had situations where the kids wanted to play a game, and it only worked on IE. So I fired up IE for them. No biggie.

I wonder if any of you have used Google Chrome released recently. It is worth a try and may be a tough competitor for Firefox. But still I am a Firefox fan. Get Google Chrome from http://www.google.com/chrome
