RTS with online community

What about BFME2 or Star Wars: Empire At War? I've read review about both games and I think I would prefer the SW:EaW game, but do you think it still has a big community? (EA Support isn't really the same as Blizzard Support)

you want a big community, try starsieg tribes, its old (late 90's) and dynamics no longer hosts a server but the community has created a lot of servers, also the community is big.

I know alot of good RTS's however not too sure on the online status of them.

Command and conquer - good game that i always find fun to play
Warhammer 4000 - dawn of war - excelent game, also got the 3 expansion packs now, making it even more fun
world in conflict - nice graphics, not sure on the spec, good online community from what i have seen.

these are my favourite RTS's Command and conquer has alot in the seires, however ones back from around '95 are still played on gamespy (though not that big anymore the last time i checked)

dawn of war is a good very good game.

Thanks for all the responses. I might buy some games of what you guys said, but in meanwhile I already bought Rome Total War and Barbarian Invasion. I just love the epic battles with more than 7000 men, it's just perfect! (although when it goes over 8000 it might lag). I'm currently visiting all the links you guys said, hoping to find something cool. Thanks again!
