i have truespace, and if would get off my lazy @$$ and start looking at a few online tutorials, it would probably be good.

Look into the Unreal exporter plugins for Maya PLE. It seems like I remember someone using that to make models and animations for Torque, and a similar approach might work for this, too. Free is always better.
