Don't you need an EnvironmentSetup entity also? He only stated that he placed a PlayerSetup and PlayerStart.

From the manual:
There are 3 entities that you must ALWAYS add to your Reality Factory levels before you first test them:

PlayerStart
PlayerSetup
EnvironmentSetup

As far as I know, the enviroment entity is not necesary. I have made tons of rooms and compiled them and I have never used the enviroment. They always worked perfectly. (BTW, I have Vi(Shit)ta and XP in my 2 computers and non is giving me trouble with RF)

It says you should always have all 3 of them before you test it, which is a good recomendation, but trust me, i had dozens of levels which hadn't the EnvironmentSetup in it and they still ran. I added the EnvironmentSetup afterwards, though, because only then you can add thinghs like a farclipplane, distance fog and LOD.

I find it strange that it described like this in the manual...

yes that's suppsoed to happen. The bsp file is the actual compiled level, whereas the 3dt file is the file the editor uses. Normally this happens when you compile the level with the level compile function in the editor.

Is RF installed in "C:\Reality Factory"? If not RF likes to act up.
