APJ isnt somthing it needs, its something it creates while making an actor.

in addition, you are opening the .nfo file with system information viewer instead of astudio.

there are complete instructions included in the same zip file as the exporter - be sure to follow them TO THE LETTER. (its a bit fussy)

as for the legality, yes, to my knowledge its legal, id call it an "off-white" area, the maker of the software dosent seem to want it done, but cannot do anything about it, from what i gather. if there were a better free alternative, i believe id use that instead.

For some reason I showed up as "Guest". Whatever.

But yea. I thought of using Blender or Milkshape but I lost intrest in those; Gmax is so much nicer to use...

Intresting

Okay, sorry, I wasn't logged in. I'm Guest.

I found this: http://www.turbosquid.com/Forum/Index.c ... eadID/8525

It's from the Project Manager of Gmax. He goes on about Gmax and exporting.
gmax was designed to provide game developers and game enthusiasts a stable and robust 3d content creation and editing tool for Discreet approved game title formats. Discreet licenses (for a fee) to game companies the right to distribute gmax game packs. By design, this is the only means by which users are allowed to export data from gmax. Discreet withheld the ability to export data directly from gmax for many reasons, and we take very seriously any effort to defeat our design.

Please note that Discreet is not opposed to exporting data from gmax--provided Discreet is the decision maker about what formats are supported. We are working hard to bring more gmax-enabled features to gmax users. (If you have any suggestions, please post them to this thread).

As I mentioned, they do not WANT it to happen. Someone else, however, mentioned that their lawyers had messed up and couldnt do anything about it. As I mentioned, its an off-white area, and if there were a better alternative, id use it.

Number of Bones = 0
Key Data

All the information here is great However once one has the nfo or key file, then what?
Patience and tolerance are the keys to the passage of knowledge. Even those that are the most knowledgeable started with many questions.
