Temporary Leave Sign Out Sheet
Why, thank you, Bernie! He had a great day and we all had a great vacation! Even drove an extra 180 miles just to have dinner in Texas on our last night in Arkansas! Now we can all say we've been in Texas! Course, my 7yr old, Steven said, "Gee, I thought Mexico would look a lot different!" I love kids.bernie wrote:HAPPY BIRTHDAY to son of steven8 and many more of 'em
I'm back, but I'm bushed. I spent today changing back over to windows and getting it all set up. Makes for a long day. I won't be doing any other posting tonight. It's off to bed.
I'll be back for real tomorrow. Night, night all!

Glad you had a good holiday. I Hope the boy got loadsa presents for his birthday. I would think Mexico would be different too but much further to travel LOL. Yeah kids are great. I miss those days when mine were young. All grown up now and only 1 granchild so far and I don't manage to see her all that often. She lives over the water in England and as I don't fly it becomes a long journey by road and ferry. There are other complications too which I won't go into. Kids seem to grow another head when they get into their teens but they do come out of it and become human again when they get to 18 or 19 years. The grown up relationship is different but still very close and I'd die for 'em just the same.
Yep, this was my son's 11th birthday, and I had to have a talk with him about how mom and I are not his enemies, even though it may seem otherwise. He's not even a teen yet! I love him more than anything in the world. He'll understand (again) some day.bernie wrote:Glad you had a good holiday. I Hope the boy got loadsa presents for his birthday. Ahh, found the topic!
I'm joining the army next Monday. It's compulsory here in Finland and every young man has to spend at least 6 months in the army. Yeah, it sucks. I planned to release a new little demo game of Nirhis before leaving but I ran out of time. The demo is nowhere near finished.
I don't think im gonna have an internet connection over there, so see ya all in six months! (Actually like 2-3 weeks, since they'll let me come home on some of the weekends)

Just exactly what good do they think will come of making every young man be in the Army for 6 months? : - ?Juutis wrote:Ahh, found the topic!
