BTW AA, what is with teh background on your avatar? You have to use a different colour for either the arrowhead and letters, or use a different colour background. BAD logo design, no offense.

Actually, it looks bad because it's compressed from 420 x 100 to 80 x 18 so that's why

but its still yellow on yellow.use a colour changer on gimp or pshop.

the normal one is actually Gold on Yellow and black

Unfortunately I must take a leave from our forums. I have a gotten a bad cold that has been going around the States here from what I have heard. I hear it lasts for quite some time too, but I hope not. Extending this leave I must take some time off to focus in on my college work. This cold will put me behind schedule and I only have a little over a month left of class! I will be back either within a month or once my classes let out in early May. I hate to have to say I will be out that long, but it seems it is a must. See you all in a short while!

I'm back and my cold is almost completely gone! I was going to stay out longer but I have come back to warn Madness about the 3DS Max Student Licensing that states it is only for personal learning purposes and it is not for any profit or commercial/professional use. And for those of you that haven't read that in the thread I was recommending the using student status to get discounted software. 3DS Max student software has a student license which is not what I had expected. Anyhow, I was able to get my college to order in the software that I wanted at a student discount.

So I have just purchased the 3DS Max 2008 Student Super Pack(3DS Max 2008, Combustion 2008, Motionbuilder 7.5, Cleaner XL) along with Adobe Web Design Premium CS3(Photoshop Extended, Dreamweaver, Flash Professional, Illustrator, Fireworks, Acrobat 8 Professional, Contribute along with a few helper programs Bridge, Version Cue, Device Central, Stock Photos and Acrobat Connect. It even includes some training videos). Both 3DS Max 2008 and Web Design Premium CS3 I was able to purchase through my college book store at a great discount. The Autodesk software was $399 and Adobe $499. It is a huge ammount of money that I just spent but being a Computer Science major I will need to have experience with these programs once I graduate so the sooner I learn them the better. That's how I justify it anyhow...

Anyhow, although I am back now, I will be on less frequently until my classes let out in May as I need to focus more on my studies.

I shall be away from the forum for 2 weeks from tommorrow 24th May. I might just pop in tommorrow morning for a quick look round before I go on Holiday. 2 weeks of doing nothing much but playing a few tunes in the pubs in Galway or propping up the bar when I'm not playing , walking the dog and being generally idle.
