I don't personally like CSS very much, but I could play it with you guys. If anyone has CS 1.6 I'd be more than happy to play a few rounds.

Heh, I just picked Up Battlefield 2142 today. I'm gonna need some days to get used to it, but If you wanna plan a game of multiplayer, Give me at least 24 hours notice via email so that I know to meet you, but I can play.

Sweet sweet wireless. I missed you so much my notebook internet friend :)

I only have dial-up internet and I'm out of range to get DSL. So I only play singleplayer in any game. I liked BF Vietnam and BF 2,... so I was excited about BF2142,.. but then I found our that BF2142 requires net activation so I had to steer clear of it.

huh. I used to have that problem. My house is just outside the DSL range. So our neighbor wirelessly boosts the DSL so we can get it too. And with a bonus, since we have two desktops and five notebooks, we can all do the internet. You can still install with dial-up, however it will be slow. Maybe its for the better that you steered clear for this time because I got mine for 50% off the original price because it's more than 1 year old. I don't know about the stores by you, but I love the Best Buy by me. I haven't played yet, but it looks awesome.

got a problem, does it need a microphone, because I don't have one o this computer.

okay, well I have one but it's currently on my dad's desktop and it's too hard to take out the wires. And I just heard a good joke.

"Earlier this morning the city bank was robbed, the only things stolen were some ballpoint pens marked free, take one Stealing is wrong"

[edit]
well that sucks. My computer can't run it.

how come? u need the patch, 1.25, 300mb i belive, there isnt anywhere with a fast upload and will take severel hours to get.

no, It requires a 1.7 GHz processor, but my notebook is only 1.3, so unless the patch can do that, I just threw good money I could have spent on other things in the trash since I cannot return the game for a refund.

where am I supposed to get the patch at anyway?

search battlefield 2142 patch 1.25, file front has it, and the official ea website has it, i have 1.6 ghz dual core, i think the 1.7 is for single player with the ai scripts running, i would run it if u can and see. i know some ea games wotn let you run it unles u have the minimum specs, i got lord of the rings, it said i needed 256mb ram, i had that but showed up as 255mb ram so i couldnt play it at the time, it was sharing the memory with my graphics card so i think thats what messed that one up

hmmm, I'm sharing some of my memory with my graphics card too. I have to switch graphics cards to do games, and then back again to do RF demos, its kinda a pain, but hey, if it works. (oh, and I don't understand why it doesn't run, I have NFS Most Wanted on here, that's an EA game with the exact same minimum system requirements [except the microphone] and it runs perfectly fine in normal or online mode)

does that mean I can't play campaign if I get it running? Just online?

What about update 1.41?

there is no campaign, its just fully multiplayer.

the single player is the multiplayer with ai instead of people

oh, really? So it's all campaign, but online is just with real people instead of with Ai? that sounds like tribes. A lot like tribes in fact. Anyway, you didn't answer my question about 1.41 patch.
