I have been taking a look at the offset engine and unreal 3 shots.
Now of course I dont expect to get that level of poly detail but the normal mapping that I want to try.

now I have seen alot of posts but they are a bit confusing. I saw some shots where a guy was mapped a bit and the lights dont work right or this or that.

My question is what are the limitations, and also what is the best free proceedure based on your guys use of normal mapping?

I saw melody but couldn't figure it out and the ati normal map maker but again did't really get it fuctional.

Also what do I have to set in RF to get a look at the effect?

Thanks

Yeah I read it before but it didn't explain the trouble.

But I got it working nicely.

Turns out you have to make sure yur map names in the NFO file have the
BN@_? File names. if you dont they wont work at all. I just opened the NFO file in note pad and changed the names.

Now it works swimmingly.
