I have kicked around the idea of changing the GUI Menu.ini Creator to have a tabbed interface, like Firefox. bernie suggested a poll, and I've never created a poll before, so here we go!! Capital idea, bernie.

Although I have said it in your other thread steven8 I will post it here too along with my vote. I think a tabbed interface would really clean the screen up from messy windows
. It would make the program much more user fiendly to click tabs instead of dealing with multiple windows all over the screen.
*Just curious, how much will this overhaul set back development if you do it?

I cast my vote and like I said in the other post I would prefer tabbed interface. If it's only going to take one weekend go for it.

Okay, it's overwhelming in favor, so here is the new interface:
I like it much better. I have to get the code in place, which won't take too terribly long, then we'll be right back in business.

Yeah, that way it's much cleaner. Great idea, BTW, that tabbed interface.

!!!
!!! WOW thats alot of tabs! I didnt realize the menu was that complex! I am so glad that I wont have to deal with that many windows all over the place when creating my menu with your program steven8. I know I would end up switching all over the place to make sure everything is perfect and windows would not work well. Very nice work!!!

Oh yeah, it's a lot of menus.
The system is menus within menus within menus. Options leads to audio, video, controls, advanced etc. etc. It was this revelation which made me start thinking of needing to do things another way.
I have transferred over my code, and am ready to move on, so I guess I didn't really lose any time at all.

Thanks a BUNCH Andy!!
I have very cool news. I have finally figured out how to allow the user to drag controls around the form at runtime. Which means. . .you can drag your buttons into place, and use the textboxes and buttons to tweak them if you need or want to. It should make things even easier yet!!
(I'm real excited about this one!!
)

Woah this is sounding awsome Steven! the idea of draggging the buttons is a dream come true!
I'm so glad someone implemented this, this was probally the trickiest part of RF next to Scripting. this will make it so much more attractive to newer members!
BIGUPS!!!
