3D animated cut scenes, HELP

Post by psYco »

I am interristed in doing short 3D CG cutscenes in my new game project, (see my thread in job postings new online game dev team All Welcome! Join Now!) But I have no idea how to do these cut scenes so if some one could tell me where I can find a good SIMPLE tutorial, just to get me started and or any programs that could do something like this (preferably easy to use like Milk Shape is easy to model with).

If this kinda animation is very complicated, (I have intermdiate modeling exp and can animate in milkshape) for a reletive n00b like myself any help would be appreciated! :)

Oh and moderators Im not sure if this realy belongs here but then where? Please if this is not the place for this request please move it where ever you think would be more appropriate. thanks

CG cutscenes? Is that like a prerendered cutscene? Like a .avi file?

If so, MilkShape can do that. There's an option somewhere called 'record .avi' or something. But it kind of sucks...
Blender is a great tool for that purpose. You can make complicated and long cutscenes with it. It takes a bit time to learn, though.
Pain is only psychological.

Yes, I believe blender can import milkshape models, however, the rotations might be off.
Think outside the box.
